The Scott family's passion and dedication for the environment is as evident in their communities as it is in their five championship golf courses. The care and dedication that earned each course certification in the “Audubon Co-operative Sanctuary Program” are the building blocks for their residential communities as well.
The Woods at Stonehedge is the first open-space community in Ross Township . With over 35% of the 40 acres designated as open space, The Woods far exceeds the national average for open space comminutes (10%). Nature trails wind throughout the community whose focal point sits just beyond the stone wall, our Stonehedge South golf course.
Cranes Pond is a 250-acre open space development focused on family lifestyle and environmental sustainability. Each home shares over 140 acres of designated open space, more than half of the total plan. Throughout this open space, carefully maintained walking trails allow our residents the chance to enjoy this pristine natural setting for generations.
Enrolled in Audubon International's Silver Signature Program from its inception, Cranes Pond became the program's first certified community in 2007. Through the Silver Signature Program, Audubon International assisted in site design and construction from the beginning. Through ongoing site visits, they helped develop a sustainable management plan, integrating environmental and habitat protection to benefit the environment and the homeowner.
Cranes Pond is home to 333 species of plants, 93 bird species, 18 different mammals, 16 species of dragonflies and 25 different kinds of butterflies.
